Dr. Cano is a Navy veteran, and a licensed psychologist in the states of Colorado, Hawaii, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas and Virginia. In the Navy, she served with VF-101, a fighter squadron out of NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After leaving the Navy, Dr. Cano returned to Colorado Springs to finish her education. She received a bachelor’s in sociology/criminology from CSU-Pueblo, with a specialty certificate in forensic criminology. Dr. Cano holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and a master's degree in clinical psychopharmacology. Additionally, she holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology. Dr. Cano is board certified in neurofeedback and is working towards finishing her hours to become a prescribing psychologist in the state of Colorado. As a retired Navy veteran, Dr. Cano works extensively with the veteran population and their families, advocating for a holistic assessment and treatment approach for our veteran population with a combination of neurofeedback, evidence-based trauma treatments, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Most specifically and exclusively, she works with the special operations community; both active, retired, and veterans. Dr. Cano is also the Senior Consulting Psychologist for ClearancePsych in the Western Region. She has extensive experience conducting neuropsychological and psychological evaluations with patients of all ages. As a Navy veteran, Dr. Cano has worked with hundreds of current military members and veterans and has unique experience assessing and treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, mild Traumatic Brain Injury, and Moral Injury. She has conducted many psychological evaluations in security clearance matters and in other high stakes decision making contexts. As a treatment provider, her area of experience is greatest with the Special Operations community throughout the nation and abroad.
