Jamie is a University of New Orleans graduate with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a BS in Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) located in New Orleans, LA. She is also Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp). Jamie is also trained in EMDR. She is currently working towards certification as a Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). She provides individual, couples, and family therapy in her private practice. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions. She has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, first responders, veterans, service member, and SOF. she has experience as both a Clinical Therapist and Program Director for The New Orleans Institute for Trauma and Compulsive Behaviors, The Eating Disorders Program, and The Patriot Support Program at River Oaks Hospital She is also a Clinical Therapist with Tulane University's Center for Brain Health. She specializes in working with trauma, eating disorders, and other co-occurring disorders including military trauma, military sexual trauma and moral injury. She has a deep connection and empathy to both the SOF community and first responders. Jamie can relate to this community, culture, and relationship dynamics as her father was a Fire Captain for over 40 years. She also lived in a fire station until the age of 12. Jamie believes in approaching each client as individual and takes a person centered, whole body, and holistic approach. She incorporates many different therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), mindfulness, somatics, and polyvagal techniques.
