Ashley is a Liberty University graduate with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a BS in Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in NC and is a member of the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is a mother of four and has been married for almost 19 years, with 12+ of those years being a SOF spouse. Ashley has endured the highs and lows of the SOF community and can understand the deployment cycles, the culture, the demands, and the heartache that it all entails for the service member, the spouse and the children. She has deep empathy for this population, as well as first responders. Ashley can also relate to the first responder needs, culture and demands as well, as her father was a police officer for 22 years. Ashley is trained in EMDR and takes a whole body, holistic approach individual to each client’s needs and goals. She uses many other supportive approaches within a trauma focused lens as well, including CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, mindfulness, somatics and polyvagal.
