Matt is a retired United States Marine with 20 years of service as a career intelligence professional. He completed multiple combat deployments and served across the full spectrum of military operations, including special operations, aviation, training & education, and humanitarian assistance. Matt is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Master of Social Work (MSW), specializing in integrative social work with a sub-concentration in military social work. He completed a one-year clinical social work internship with the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, where he gained invaluable experience working with trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). He is a registered associate clinical social worker (ASW) in California and completed 1 year post graduate clinical supervision in private practice. Matt is currently an Adventure-Based Mental Health Specialist (Project Odyssey) with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). In this role, he focuses on supporting veterans and their families through experiential learning, mental health support, and therapeutic activities designed to build resilience and foster personal growth.
